About us

SNC-Lavalin's Atkins business seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Calverton, MD, Alexandria , VA , Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA office as a FEMA Project Manager . Other locations are an option as well if close to a HUB office. This role may work a hybrid work schedule.

How will you contribute to the team?
  • As a resilience program and policy analyst, the applicant will support federal, state, and local government clients including Federal Emergency Management Agency, State of Louisiana, and Houston, Texas.
  • The applicant will conduct research, analyze data, identify trends, and prepare reports to support clients' resilience related program and policy enhancements that meet federal mandates such as climate and equity.
  • The applicant will determine program and policy requirements and making recommendations by analyzing programs, policies and procedures, making recommendations, and drafting new or revised policies and procedures.
  • The applicant will prepare and present reports, findings, and recommendations to clients.
  • The applicant will assist program and project managers with the development of project scope, budgets, and schedules as well as tracking metrics.
What will you contribute?
  • MPP, MA or MS in public policy, political science, strategic studies or a related field. 5-10 years of work experience
  • Knowledge and demonstrable ability to analyze or implement government programs and policies involving strategy, doctrine, operations, or guidance
  • Excellent analytic skills; the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing; the ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to work both independently and juggle tasks to meet deadlines with rapidly changing environments
  • Demonstrates self-awareness, cultural competency and inclusivity, and ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders across diverse cultures and backgrounds

Salary Range $100K-$115K
